I'm on Etsy!

I now have my very own shop, well actually 2 of them - I'm on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7561546 and Folksy http://www.folksy.com/shops/SallyHeasley.

There are some new limited edition screen prints on there as well as one-off pieces, all at very affordable prices thanks to the low commission rates of the sites. I will be adding new listings regularly over the next few weeks so have a check back every now and then.

I plan to do several new screenprints over the summer in limited runs, I love reproducing images this way rather than with a computer and printer, each work retains a handmade feel, I'm not so limited in scale and it's more affordable all round. Hurray for hand done print processes!

More news for you - I have a new card stockist - the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge are selling my cards as of today :)

NEWS

I have finally had my new range of Cambridge cards printed, they will be available to buy in various outlets in Cambridge shortly, more details to follow. Here are the card images for now...

Firenze/Bologna

I've been jetsetting round Europe for the last few weeks - firstly to Barcelona, then Florence and Bologna for the Bologna Children's Book Fair - a huge event with publishers from all parts of the globe and the very best children's book illustration on exhibition. It was a great source of inspiration and has given me a fresh otulook on my current sequential image project for my MA. Apparently Morteza Zahedi, an illustrator whose work I really admire, was there and overheard my friends talking about whether he was a guy or girl because they couldn't tell from his name...

Here are a few collages I did, one from the Boboli gardens and the other from my hotel room. It wasn't luxury but it did have a great view.
